What is Paged Out!?

Paged Out! is a free experimental (one article == one page) technical magazine about programming (especially programming tricks!), hacking, security hacking, retro computers, modern computers, electronics, demoscene, and other similar topics.

It's made by the community for the community - the project is led by Gynvael Coldwind with multiple folks helping. And it's not-for-profit (though in time we hope it will be self-sustained) - this means that the issues will always be free to download, share and print.

Where is Issue #3?

We expect a couple of weeks delay on Issue #3 (targeting June) - apologies for that.

But don't worry - this doesn't mean the project is in trouble - quite the opposite in fact! We've received a lot of positive feedback and decided that since the project is here to stay, we could invest some more time in our tooling. While it is taking longer than initially expected (as usual), we don't won't to rush it either. Thus the delay.

At the moment of writing these words we have almost enough articles for Issue #3, so once we've finished the new review center, we'll put them through the process asap.

In the meantime we're polishing the print files (more delays here, but we're pretty happy about them), getting the wallpaper for the #3 cover finalized, and also managed to get the finished cover and wallpaper for #4 too!

So bear with us - it won't be long until Issue #3 is here :)

Issue #2: The second Paged Out!

Note: This is a "beta 2 build" of the PDF, i.e. we will be re-publishing it with accessibility/compatibility/size/layout improvements multiple times. What's missing:

  • PDFs for printing (A4+bleed, ?US Letter+bleed?) - we need to fix something, but it's almost there.
